New requirements to do business with large equip. manufacturers

Come hear how John Deere is encouraging their supply base to be a better digital partner. Timely and accurate exchange of data between customers and suppliers is fast becoming a pre-requisite to compete in the marketplace. Insights from this large original equipment manufacturer (OEM) can help your organization plan the next steps of your digital journey. Knowing where to invest, as well as what OEMs expect from their suppliers, can be the difference between new sales and no sales.

James Merten, Manager, Achieving Excellence from John Deere, will share the business advantages of digital collaboration as supply management professionals manage the acquisition process and support operations to achieve material replenishment targets.

The evening will also include insights from a supplier who has already started the digital journey as well as information from software providers who support computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) applications.

Representatives from the Quad Cities Manufacturing Innovation Hub also will preview the CAD/CAM playbook, a how-to guide for technology implementation, which will be released in October. The playbook will focus on computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing best practices and how you can incorporate 3-D technologies to impact your business.

This program is presented by the Quad Cities Chamber’s Quad Cities Manufacturing Innovation Hub and the Defense Industry Adjustment Program. All Hub events are sponsored by Northwest Bank & Trust Company.
