Collins Writers' Conference - Faculty Reading & Open Mic

Faculty Reading and Book Signing, Friday June 23, 7-9 p.m. at Rozz-Tox (2108 3rd Ave. Rock Island, IL 61201)

Listen to Conference faculty reading their work, featuring Kelly Daniels, Anaïs Duplan, Kali VanBaale, and Rachel Yoder.

Then, the mic will be opened up for reading by Writers' Conference participants. Free and open to the public.

The evening will start with a social mixer from 5:30-7 p.m. (eat, drink, be merry!), followed by the faculty reading & open mic. Then, after the readings, stick around for FRESH WAX: LOW TIDE with LIV CARROW. FRESH WAX is a free and open cafe/bar night with a vinyl collector from the community on the decks playing the music they love. Liv Carrow will be spinning a liberal assortment of sounds (alternative/oldies/psych folk/world/post punk).

Free & open to the public.

The David R. Collins Writers’ Conference is made possible thanks to the generous support of our sponsors: Modern Woodmen of America, founding sponsor; the Regional Development Authority; the St. Ambrose University English Department; the Figge Art Museum; WVIK 90.3 FM, Quad Cities NPR; and the Illinois Arts Council Agency.
