Rock Town Lit Fest - Book Fair, May 6

Announcing the Rock Town Lit Fest, a new event that celebrates literature in the QC!

The Rock Town Lit Fest is a two-day celebration of literature in our community,

On Saturday, May 6th, the Rock Island Public Library will host a book fair from 10am-4pm. There will be panel discussions and readings scheduled throughout the day. Here's the event schedule:

Book Fair (2nd Floor, RIPL) – List of Participating Authors and Publishers (line-up subject to change)

Authors: S.R. Ahuja, Mike Bayles, Tara Betts, Ann Boaden, Janet Clark, Kelly Daniels Mary Davidsaver, Dennis Flaherty, Doug Frazer, Matt Geiger, Meg Gillette, Craig A. Hart, Remi Hunter, Teresa LaBella, Jason Lee Brown, Keith Lesmeister, E.D. Martin, Joan Mauch, Dennis Maulsby, Karen Musser Nortman, Chuck Oestreich, Lilly Setterdahl, Misty Urban, John A. Panels will feature discussions on a specific topic related to literature (for readers and writers), followed by audience Q & A

10am-11am: “Writing and Place” – Remi Hunter, Chuck Oestreich, Steve Semken, Mary Davidsaver

12pm-1pm: “Therapeutic Sentences: Writing as a Healing Process” – Dennis Maulsby, Misty Urban, E.D. Martin, Janet Clark

2pm-3pm: “Recommended By: Writers on Reading” – Matt Geiger, Karen Musser Nortman, Teresa LaBella + more TBA

Readings (Midwest Writing Center, ground floor, RIPL) – Times and Readers (line-up subject to change)

11am-12pm: Dennis Maulsby, Misty Urban, Carl Herzig, Meg Gillette

1pm-2pm: Young Writers Feature: Sage Shemroske, Emma Stough, Aubrey Young + more TBA

3pm-4pm: Kelly Daniels, Jason Lee Brown, Keith Lesmeister
